This is indeed a Stars-and-Stripes themed !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . And i think, its owner is one great mind. Just to give birth to the idea of couloring a socialist commuter car in the "imperialistic enemy" 's banner is unlikely thoughtful. What may be the story behind it?
Was it painted like this just before its owner crossed the border to the former american sector in 1989? Did someone just want to stop people in their tracks? Was it used to promote a buissnes (quite frequent use of Trabants nowadays, as they are stand-outs and still cheap)?
Well, the seller does not tell. He just mentions the paintjob ("in America style") and that the car is in running condition.
There are even (fake plastic) bald eagles on the (fake plastic) rear fenders which are actually none but more like Firebirds on the end of the ponton-side.
It reads: "Trabbi Power-The Force of the Two Spark Plugs"
It even has brown (fake plastic) leather.
